THE WAVES

My boyfriend and I always worked and studied at The Waves Coffee downtown. Every time we went there, we ordered a cup of coffee and a dessert before we began work there.  Nanaimo Bar and Sticky Toffee Cake are two of our favourite dessert. Nanaimo Bar is made by Chocolate graham crumb base with a layer of creamy custard topped with thick, rich chocolate.  Sticky Toffee Cake is Rich, creamy, buttery golden toffee sauce flowing over a cool white cloud of whipped cream and layers of a dark, lightly-spiced cake generously speckled with finely chopped dates. Both of them are very tasty and delicious. Although I am not a dessert person, I love both of them.
