Matsuama Japanese Restaurant is located on Alexandra Rd in Richmond. It’s a large size of the Japanese Restaurant and has great reviews on the Website. We went to Matsuama for Dinner on Sunday evening. The location is not very easy to find. It takes us 10 to 15 mins to find the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is large and clean. It has a Japanese style setting in the restaurant. The servers were super friendly and helpful. The menu is very fancy with pictures that we can easier order food. We had Volcano Rool and Half salmon sashimi. The half salmon sashimi is only 5 pc for $6, but the salmon meat tastes fresh. It is a small portion and a little bit expensive price. The Volcano rolls in Matsuama is different from other restaurants. It’s a very simple roll including Prawn Tempura, avocado, cucumber, tobiko wrapped in spicy. It’s about $9. The taste is decent, but it’s not worth the price. In summary, the food in Matsuama Japanese Restaurant is OK. Not very excited.
