It was my first time trying Persian cuisine. My Persian friend drove my friend and I to the traditional Persian restaurant on Pendrell St. Vancouver. The restaurant location is close to David St., which is very convenience to find. Because we were driving, it was a little bit hard for us to find parking spots. We arrived the restaurant right after the lunch break, so the restaurant was very empty. My Persian friend have ordered all the traditional dishes and drinks to us. We had LOOBIA POLO$10.95, FILLET BEEF KABOB$19.95, SOLTANI$22.95, and LAMB SHANK$15.95. Besides LOOBIA POLO, all the dishes like Indian Jasmine Rice with the BBQ meat. The rice tasted sweet and BBQ were fully cooked and tasty. The LOOBIA POLO is basmati rice, cooked green beans, tomato sauce, and diced fillet. The taste is a little bit sour. I think it’s because of its tomato sauce. All the food were tasted great. We also ordered DOOGH$2.95. Persian people’ Traditional yogurt and mint drink, prepared in house. This drink is very healthy drink and good for people’s body, but my friend and I don’t really like its taste. However, I still highly recommend people to try it. It’s very healthy and traditional drink in Persian Cultural. In summary, we had lots of fun in this restaurant and had super different experiences to eat Persian Food.
